Told myself that I will give myself small photography "treats" every time an image appears on Flickr Explore. Last year I had 13 and this month, 4 images appeared so I gave myself a simple tripod to dabble in night captures and long exposures. The last time in Kuala Sg. Baru I balanced my camera on a coconut and almost dropped it in the water. I went for a Vanguard that cost me about $90. Nothing fancy but gets the job done and I don't need those $400 tripods definitely.Took it to shoot some seascapes yesterday night and found out how crummy the 18-55mm actually is. I am specifically a 50mm guy but must admit some B&W seascapes are simply gorgeous.

On another topic, without sounding preachy, do go for the Marriage Encounter.
1.It's all about you and your spouse, no open sharing.
