Interlok Issue

I have not read the novel but as an Indian, I must admit that the caste system is still very much alive in India especially in the villages. My mom still observes it although she claims that she doesn't when I criticize her.The fact that this is an old novel, we must look at it from the context as it was written back then.No need to burn books or hold protests.I believe back then even within the Indian parties it must have been practiced.Unfortunately this is also being championed by politicians to gain ground among the Indian community.

Saying that, we all know that our government only cares about the sensitivities of the majority and this simply shows that the 1Malaysia concept is a mere slogan.Living in a multiracial country like ours would mean that the Ministry of Education need to make an educated decision. They who say that this was history are at times changing history to make them look greater than the rest.Remember the thoughts Chris posted before?

In a nutshell, this is a non issue but since some minorities feel hurt, a good/listening government will pull this novel as I am sure there are much better materials that can replace this.If they don't (which I won't be surprised), well I will let you make your own conclusion about 1Malaysia.

Because, if you appreciate good sound, you'd need good headphones.

10.7 Lion Wallpaper

The Apple news of the week would be the new MBP with Thunderbolt which is basically Intel's Light Peak technology. That's 700mb per sec or a DVD copied in mere seconds.Terence, this feature would be great for your video editing on the road as you can pull HD video clips from different sources quickly to merge into a clip.I am really tempted to drop some dough on the 13" MBP this coming week. Then again it seems there will be a total overhaul in 2012 for all MBP.

Second, OSX 10.7 Lion has been released to developers. Airdrop seems interesting but the rest is "meh".I like the new wallpaper and you can download it here.

Our Club Med Bali was really good, and it is a perfect getaway for families. Will post some pics later on.

The Siahs were in town

Thanks Chris & Cath for visiting us and am positive the kids would have had more fun if the weather was better when we were at the Zoo. Hope the Scullies will plan a trip day. Will e-mail you the pics later on.

No posts from me for the next 1 week as the family head to Club Med Bali for some fun in the sun.

Wanda on Dating Game with Jim Carrey

Btw, recently watched Jim on SNL and he is still the funniest guy on showbiz.

The Arts & Crafts Guy

Since I have so many pictures from India, thought I'd post the more interesting pictures with a little bit of  a rundown on it.First up, this guy.He is our handyman at the village chapel. I really do not know his name but one thing I know for sure is that he is really good in arts and crafts.Like all other artists, he is partly eccentric and I suppose likes to get wasted from time to time. Before this picture was taken , he asked me if I am the same guy the United States sent to the village the last time.To which I replied Yes (easy answer). I asked him if I could take a picture of him and he said certainly and posed for me. Immediately after the picture, he asked me to bless him with some money which I did. Don't get me wrong, I am not poking fun at him but I am just intrigued by characters like him.I am sure Suresh understands where I am going with this.
Due to upload constrains I am only putting up low res versions of the pics.

Ops Pyramid

If anyone can think of a better name I think Malaysia boleh. I couldn't help but smiled while reading about this. The name sounded as if we were going to steal one of the great wonders of the world. Well unlike Vector of Despicable Me, I assume the mission failed la!
