"Saya Anti Rasuah" Badge

I am in a car driven by a friend from S'pore when it was signalled to pull over somewhere near the Ayer Keroh exit.Well, my friend from S'pore was doing a 140kph on his Lexus Harrier, so he knew he was guilty and paid the price of 50RM and in return even got instructions where the next speed trap is.I think I need not elaborate why the "fine" was a mere 50RM.Heck, they even have discussion on a S'pore motoring forum on what is a "fair" bribe.See for yourselves HERE.
Anyway, those days are gone, now with the officers donning the "Badge of Honour" there would not be anymore taking or giving bribes.Seriously folks, what would you do?Let's focus on us ,the motorist here and not just blame the TP dept.

If you look at it, when the police stops you, they are seldom wrong. This means that you broke the law, and in the eyes of the law you've got to pay for breaking the law either by $$$ or jail time. How much do you need to pay? There's an overview here. I believe you won't find a RM50 'kompaun' there.

You can choose to save RM100 or more by giving 'rasuah' and risk breaking another law OR pay the 'kompaun' and be a good law-abiding citizen. I think most, if not, all of us, will probably take the choice to pay less (or probably many of us have made that easier choice before). Who in the right mind would want to pay more? Furthermore, if you don't pay them the 'rasuah', they'll obviously give you a nice pink slip with maximum fine and perhaps look for a few more faults with you as a bonus for your non-compliance. So... what choice have we got, right? Wrong.

I have an obvious solution, try to..., if at all possible,
"STOP BREAKING THE DAMN LAW!!"

It's there for a reason.

Look at it this way, if we claim to stand for 'justice'... for the unborn, the animals, for all that is right, etc. We need to uphold the spirit of the law! The traffic law was made for the safety of everyone; imagine, if any of our loved ones is seriously injured or even lose their life because of a traffic offender who sped or broke the red light for whatever reason at all, I'm sure the need for justice or even 'vengeance' will come gushing back. Trust me, when I say that the traffic laws was not made solely for the purpose of income - generated from summons.

IMHO, just be aware of the undang-undang and adhere to them... then we'll probably not risk breaking another law to cover up the one we just broke. Sepandai-pandai tumpai melompat...

Finally an honest man among us and a wise one at that, who is able to see the issue from a different angle.I know this sounds a bit lame and don't mean to sound like a copycat....I thought of the same thing Chris!
If we talk about the PM not doing enough to fight graft.... let's not encourage it.

On top of everything, the badge goes so well with the uniform!

Guys...have you forgotton about the jokers who even accept RM2. Let's give them credit too!!!

And yes if we stop breaking the law despite doing it in the spirit of Robin Hood...I am sure we'll stop receiving candid pictures of our car along the many highways of Malaysia.

As good old samy says...kita sudah bikin apa yang boleh...sekarang pemamdu-pemandu lah yang saja boleh membaiki keadaan ini..." or at least somewhere along those lines. Drive safe guys!

I just saw a 'road block' with a bunch of traffic policemen doing their stuff, but guess what? They did not have those lovely badges above their name tags!

Hey... does that mean...? :D
